模型店に行けば必ず置いてあるハセガワの1/72定番キット。1999年にシリーズが再編され、価格ごとにA、B、C…と統一したパッケージに生まれ変わり、現在に至ります。Aシリーズはオレンジの帯が目印で、1999年時点で700円でした。そこから25年間で本体価格はわずか100円しか値上がりせず、価格880円（税込）で今も飛行機モデラーの入口として親しまれています。バラエティー豊かなラインナップは、いずれも初出から40年以上が経ったベテランキットです。しかし、飛行機模型として最も大切であるプロポーションが良好な傑作揃い。そのまま組んでも良し、塗装にこだわるのも良し、はたまた腕試しに改造するのも良しのAシリーズを本特集では「A帯」と称し、その魅力とプロモデラーならではの作例をご紹介します。

Hasegawa's 1/72 classic kits are a staple in every model shop. The series was revamped in 1999, with packages standardized by price into A, B, C, etc., and has continued to the present. The A Series, marked by an orange band, was priced at 700 yen in 1999. Over 25 years, the price has only increased by 100 yen, making it 880 yen (tax included), maintaining its popularity as an entry point for airplane modelers. The diverse lineup consists of veteran kits, all over 40 years old since their initial release. Despite their age, they are masterpieces with excellent proportions, crucial for airplane models. Whether assembling them as they are, focusing on painting, or testing your skills with modifications, the A Series offers numerous possibilities.
