●特集：小さな船の大きな模型
〜1/350艦船模型の扉を開いてみよう〜
艦船模型の主流は1/700 スケールであることは間違いないでしょう。元々コレクション性を売りにしてきた1/700 スケールキットも近年は精密化の一途をたどり、エッチングパーツをはじめとする別売ディテールアップパーツが充実しています。これらを使用してディテールアップを試みるには、わずか数�个靴�ないパーツを加工して組み込んだりしなければならず、それなりに高い技術が必要となってしまいました。対して1/350 スケールは「誰もがいつかは作ってみたい」とは思っているものの、その大きさや価格等で「敷居が高い」と感じている人も多いのではないでしょうか。また、いきなり戦艦や空母等の大型艦に挑戦して挫折した経験があるという声も聞きます。いきなり大型艦を作るのではなく、小型艦から始めてみませんか？1/700 戦艦「大和」は全長375 �弌α管�55 �个任后Ｎ磴┐�1/350駆逐艦「雪風」は全長338 �弌α管�31 �个�1/700「大和」よりも小さいのです。部品の大きさは1/700 の倍サイズですが、完成してもそれほどスペースを取らない模型ということになります。今回はそんな「小さな船の大きな模型」を集めてみました。皆さんも1/350艦戦模型の世界に一緒に足を踏み出してみませんか？

Exploring the World of 1/350 Scale Ship Models
The mainstream of ship modeling is undoubtedly at the 1/700 scale. Originally marketed for their collectible nature, 1/700 scale kits have been undergoing a trend towards increased precision in recent years, with additional detail-up parts such as photo-etched components becoming widely available. Attempting to enhance the details using these parts requires a certain level of skill, as they often involve working with parts that are only a few millimeters in size and incorporating them into the model. On the other hand, the 1/350 scale, while something that many people may want to try their hand at, is often perceived as "challenging" due to its size and cost, among other factors. Moreover, there are voices from those who have experienced frustration by attempting and failing with larger vessels like battleships or aircraft carriers right away. Instead of tackling large vessels, why not consider starting with smaller ones?
The 1/700 scale battleship "Yamato" has a length of 375 mm and a width of 55 mm. For instance, the 1/350 destroyer "Yukikaze" is even smaller with a length of 338 mm and a width of 31 mm compared to the 1/700 "Yamato." While the parts are double the size of 1/700, the completed model won't take up as much space. This time, we have gathered a collection of such "small ship, big model" examples.
